![]() These are the plants I'm planning to feature in my Living in Season blog during the month of October. Most of my choices come from the French Republican calendar, a calendar developed by the French revolutionaries in 1793 to replace the old calendar and its spiritual and political traditions. Instead the months were renamed and divided into three weeks of 10 days. Each day was assigned a plant, almost always one in season, except for days ending in 5 which featured an animal and days ending in 0 which featured a tool. For more information on the French Republican calendar, see this article at Wikipedia. I invite you to explore these plants along with me and to see what I've learned by checking out my Living in Season blog.
